A Message to Cell phone addicts

Cell phone fans, take note: The alarm low-battery beep might quickly be a thing of the history. Sharp has now revealed the world's initial solar-powered cell phone. Get ready to charge?

The phone, created by Sharp and Japanese network KDDI, is set to be free this summer. It works by using a particular solar panel that snaps onto the tool and soaks up the sun's energy. The companies state that10 minutes in the sun will give you an adequate amount of juice for about a minute of talk time, or two full hours of standby power.

Still improved for the tech-obsessed: Both the solar panel and the phone are completely waterproof. Conducting business poolside has by no means been simpler.
Further cell phone vendors are showing models of solar-powered cell phones, and a number of solar chargers are available for a variety of electronics, as well as cell phones.

But Sharp -- which has dedicated to solar power plants -- appears to be the first out of the gate with a solar-powered cell phone.
